Our last camping outing of the year was another trip to Bodega Dunes outside of Bodega Bay. It was a little windy.

Hibachi
StandardI had that camping itch I just had to scratch. So I fired up the hibachi and grilled some dogs. I love this little thing. It’s a Lodge Sportsman. The first time I took it camping was down at the Sea Otter in Monterey. I came back missing a couple parts. I tried to replace them, but Lodge was still getting their back up foundry online. When it was ready, they called me and sent a couple of the parts over.
It’s back in business and I couldn’t be happier.
Nomad Water Heater Coil – The Original Nomad
StandardCharge the batteries on the Jambox, and fire up the Smooth Jazz mp3s because swingers like to go glamping too.
Accessorizing
StandardOur box of stuff from GoWesty showed up last night and we got to work. We ordered the following…
- Curtains
- Back door struts
- Tabletops
- Dashboard cover
- Rearview and side mirrors
- Replacement decals
We pretty much replaced everything but the decals, but ran out of daylight. It’s looking really tight now. I hope to get the new bumpers and trailer hitch installed this week. After that, about the only thing left will be some bigger tires down the road and some great camping supplies.
Our first real camping trip with the Westy is coming up. We’re going up to Bodega Bay in Sonoma county.
- New table top with shiny post.
- The old rear view mirror rotted out from too much sun.
